A law that benefits ornamental rock mining is passed by the Senate

Project created in 2015 includes granite rocks in the special licensing or licensing regime.

Good news for the mineral industry!  The Bill n. 773/2015 was approved by the Plenary last December 11,   by Senator Ricardo Ferraço, to include the exploration of ornamental stones with licensing only.

The new standard will frame the exploitation of ornamental stones in the special regime provided by Law 6567/1978, the same law gives the treatment to rocks and minerals of immediate use in construction, also called aggregates. The amendment approved by the House of Representatives had added terminations for the use of substances by the environmental licensing regime and the survey of the cultural and natural heritage of the exploited area.

For the law to come into force, it is only necessary its the sanctioning by President of the Republic Jair Messias Bolsonaro. The bill was taken to the plenary as a matter of urgency by the congressman Senator Rodrigo Pacheco (DEM / MG)
